Once again, I have the opportunity to share my passion for fiber arts, by teaching two classes in beautiful Alexandria, MN. Mount Carmel Camp is the gorgeous setting for the Federation 2019 “Layers” Annual Retreat.
Joining us on Friday evening is keynote speaker, Jane A. Evans – “Always More to Explore” (www.janeevans.ca).
You can enjoy the entire weekend retreat, including lodging, meals, and two classes for $200.00 (plus class material fees listed in class descriptions).
Here is a bit about each of the classes I’ll be teaching at Federation. On Friday afternoon this year, keeping in theme with “layers”. We’ll be Blending for Color & Texture: Making Stash Busting Rolags on a Blending Board. By layering a variety of fibers on your blending board you can create various textures and colors. You’ll each get your own Stash Buster Color & Texture Fiber Kit, with a Stash Buster Color Tip Sheet which includes ideas and patterns for utilizing your Stash Buster Colored Rolags we’ll be creating in class. Material fee of $25.00.
Then, on Saturday afternoon we’ll be spinning Stash Busting Rolags. Note: if you’re unable to take Friday’s class and would like to take the Spinning for Color & Texture: Making Yarn from Stash Busting Rolags you may purchase a Completed Stash Busting Rolag Kit for $45.00.
This is one of my favorite fiber retreats. The setting is perfect for enjoying the spectacular fall color show Mother Nature typically supplies. Most of all it’s because of the many fiber friends I’ve met here at Federation.
Warning – you do run the risk of falling head-over-heels for yet another fibery addiction. This is because we have a wide variety of fiber enthusiasts who love to share their passions.
It is a fun get-away weekend of laughter and fellowship. I hope you’ll join us this year for Federation 2019 “Layers”. I look forward to visiting with you!
